VIVIEN R. MAURICIO, MAEd, is a full-time faculty of Philippine Normal University North Luzon, Alicia, Isabela. She served as Faculty Assistant at the Executive Director’s Office while teaching Mathematics subjects both in the undergraduate and graduate programs (June 2015 – April 2018) and currently assigned as the Record Officer of the University. She held various administrative positions while teaching Mathematics at the University of Perpetual Help System, Isabela Campus, Cauayan City, Isabela (June 2004 – May 2014). She also worked as College Instructor at University of La Salette, Santiago City (December 1999 – June 2004) and obtained her primary experiences in teaching at St. Paul College of Bocaue, Bocaue, Bulacan as a High School Mathematics Teacher (June 1989 – March 1993)
Prof. Mauricio earned 37 units in Doctor of Education at Isabela State University, Cauayan City, Isabela. She is presently working on her dissertation at Philippine Normal University, Manila under the Professional Development Incentive Program (PDIP) for her Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education. She finished Master of Arts in Education, major in Mathematics, Thesis Program at University of La Salette, Santiago City. She took up Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at St. Paul University, Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
Her experiences in the academe include writing a book in College Algebra, as a LET reviewer, as research presenter in national and international conferences, and as a trained trainer for the New General Education Core Courses on Matematika sa Makabagong Daigdig. She also joined the Immersion program at the Education University of Hong Kong as a visiting research postgraduate student.
Earning education units paved a way in obtaining her license as a Professional Teacher (LPT) and a Civil Service Eligible. At present, she teaches Professional Education and Mathematics courses.
