OLIVE JOY F. ANDAYA, Ed.D., is full-time Professor VI of Philippine Normal University North Luzon. She is presently the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Development of the university. Prior to her present position, she was designated Associate Director of Academic Affairs (2012-2015), Director of Academic Affairs (1995-2005), Head of Educational Foundation and Pedagogy (1992-1995), and Principal at Capitol Nursery Kindergarten School in San Fernando, La Union (1978-1982).

Dr. Andaya earned her Doctor of Education with specialization in Educational Administration at Philippine Normal University Manila, Master of Arts in Education with specialization in Educational Administration from the same university, and Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Philippine Christian University, Manila.

She is a professor of educational foundation and pedagogy and other professional education courses for almost three decades. She also teaches preschool education subjects in the Certificate of Preschool Education Program, in the Graduate Studies in both Master’s and Doctorate levels where she handles educational management and supervision courses particularly management of organization, human behavior in organization, and research seminar in educational management. She has published researches in various international and national accredited and refereed journals and authored books like A Curriculum Guide for Kindergarten TeachersInstructional Manual for Daycare TeachersIntroduction to Early Childhood Education and Preschool Education: Concepts, Principles and Learning Experiences. She is an international as well as national research paper presenter, a LET Lecturer/Reviewer in Curriculum and the Teaching Profession, a Resource Speaker/Lecturer in Kindergarten Education, Curriculum and Educational Pedagogy where she observed kindergarten schools in California as well as Graduate School in Portland State University in the United States of America. She is also an accredited National Trainer for NTOT (National Training for Trainers) in Edukasyong Pagpapahalaga. During her stay at PNU North Luzon, she has spearheaded numerous seminars and conferences in Kindergarten Education and Teacher Education in Region 02 as well as various research fora and educational symposium in PNU North Luzon.
