JANDY S. DANZALAN, MAEd, is a faculty of the Philippine Normal University North Luzon where he teaches General Education courses and Major courses of the Science program. He is the Extension Coordinator of the Science program where he coordinates and facilitates partnerships and linkages with various communities which are recipients of University extension projects.
Prof. Danzalan obtained his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in General Science and master’s degree in Science Education at Philippine Normal University North Luzon. He also finished a Diploma Program for Research in Education at Isabela State University, Cabagan, Isabela through a scholarship program of the Commission on Higher Education. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Science Education at Cagayan State University with proposed dissertation on ethno-botanical study that links indigenous knowledge and scientific evidence on medicinal plants.
He is an international research presenter and a research enthusiast on indigenous education and the sciences. He also serves as lecturer/speaker on topics related to the sciences and presently working on a book about Indigenous medicinal plants. Prior to his current post, he served as Senior High School Focal Person and Member of the Regional Technical Working Group of Action Researches of the Schools Division of Isabela (June 2016-2018) in the Department of Education.
