RAQUEL RAMIREZ-GERONIMO, Ph.D., is a faculty of Philippine Normal University North Luzon. She is currently the OIC-Head of the Gender and Development Office. Prior to her current post, she taught in Araneta University (Extension), Malabon, Manila as College Instructor; Saint Joseph High School, Naguilian, Isabela and Roxas National High School, Roxas, Isabela as a Secondary Teacher from 1990- 2006.

She finished her BSE Social Science at the National Teachers College, Manila. She both graduated Master of Arts in Education in Educational Management and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management at Saint Ferdinand College, City of Ilagan, Isabela. She also earned her Master of Arts in Social Studies (academic units) at Cagayan State University, Tuguegarao, Cagayan. At present, she is pursuing her second PhD in Philippine Studies, major in Anthropology, at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Her research inclinations are in psychology, Ibanag culture, pop culture and gender studies. She had presented her research works in international, national and local conferences. She is also a trained trainer (national level) for the New General Education Core Courses in Rizal’s Life and Works. She continues to teach General Education courses like Rizal’s Life and Works, Readings in Philippine History, Ethics, and Social Sciences Specialization subjects like Philippine Nationalism and Development, Socio-cultural Anthropology and Multi-Cultural Studies, Micro Economics, and the Teaching of Social Studies in the 21st Century.
